Sister Rosetta is a song about the legendary gospel/rock and roll singer and incredible guitar player Sister Rosetta Tharpe “who taught the boys how to play” way back in the 50s – predating Chuck Berry among others, influencing many greats, not least the mighty Elvis. Performed and written by ‘Timeless’ Tim Hain , and featuring the wonderful Ese Okorodudu of The Vooduu People, and some top reggae musicians, it is produced by Chris Kimsey ( Rolling Stones/Peter Tosh/Marillion/Jimmy Cliff)

Just got my copy of this wonderful album Femina Australis by Maryen Cairns , produced by Chris Kimsey (Rolling Stones) . Great record , lovely package includes a booklet with the stories of the twelve women featured in the songs. Very proud to have played the bass on this, Ashley Soan on drums , Red Young keys , plus a cast of many more.
