Ex-Bombay Groovy’s Lucas Roxo and Rod Bourganos (once portrayed by Rolling Stone Br as “multiinstrumentalist and bon vivant”) reunited with parisian dandy, singer and poet Thomas Baignères in order to record a demo that caught attention of legendary producer Chris Kimsey. George Hudson (Purson) joined the group and an EP was recorded on January 2017, produced by Kimsey.
Flare Voyant’s sonority is deeply inspired by bands from Kimsey’s personal path such as The Rolling Stones, Peter Frampton, Led Zeppelin and Humble Pie. However, the band also seeks to embody all its plurality on the sound, pursuing a contemporary perception of rock music through poetry and unusual tones or beats. The singular musical encounter between brazilian drummer Lucas Roxo, greco-italian-brazilian guitarist Rod Bourganos, french singer Thomas Baignères and british bassist George Hudson ignites a blend that echoes the whole rock music tradition with a particular touch, the flare that defines the sound of Flare Voyant.
