The Rain (formerly Shadowplay) are a melodic three piece from Ireland. Formed in 2011, they rose to prominence with early wins in local bandslam competitons, quickly followed by success as HotPress 2012 “Lift Off” competition winners, earning them an International deal with Shamrock (Sinead O’Connor, Crystal Fighters, Prefab Sprout).
Over the following two years the band recorded tracks for their debut album with Chris Kimsey (Rolling Stones, INXS, Psychedelic Furs) and Dave Odlum (Kila, The Frames, Josh Ritter) and are preparing for debut releases with UK shows this spring.
